Windcrest itself is a small, tightly-knit community located just outside of San Antonio. One of the standout features here is the sense of security; there's a palpable feeling of safety, and the neighborhood watch programs are quite effective. I feel comfortable taking evening walks, which is a significant plus.
The greenery and parks in Windcrest are commendable. The city is known as the "City of Lights," particularly around the holiday season when residents go all out with festive decorations. It creates a warm and charming atmosphere that truly stands out. The Windcrest Golf Club is also a popular spot, even if you’re not an avid golfer, providing a relaxing place to socialize and enjoy the outdoors.
