I've recently made the move to South Fulton, Georgia, and I'd like to share some of my first impressions as a 65-year-old real estate photographer. With a career focused on capturing the essence of homes, I tend to notice the finer details of a place, and South Fulton is no exception.

Starting with the positives, the area is quite scenic. South Fulton boasts a variety of residential architectural styles that are a joy to photograph. The neighborhoods have a mix of traditional southern charm and modern developments, offering plenty of eye-catching subjects for my portfolio. The natural landscape also provides a beautiful backdrop for any real estate shoot, with lush green spaces, mature trees, and a generally picturesque environment.

Community-wise, everyone I've met so far has been warm and welcoming. There's a sense of close-knit community here, which makes it easier to settle in. The local amenities are fairly convenient – grocery stores, cafes, and essential services are within reasonable driving distances, helping me get acclimated without much hassle.

However, there are a few downsides worth mentioning. Traffic can be a bit unpredictable. During peak hours, some of the main roads can get congested, which is something to consider if you need to travel frequently for work like I do. Public transportation options aren't as robust as I'd hoped, so a reliable car is essential for getting around.

On a slightly different note, while South Fulton is growing, it might not have the same pace and variety of a larger city like Atlanta. This can be a plus or a minus, depending on your preference for a quieter, more suburban lifestyle versus a bustling urban environment. For me, it’s a bit of an adjustment after years of city living.

All in all, South Fulton offers a pleasant and visually appealing setting with friendly residents, but it's not without its trade-offs. As someone who works in real estate photography, I'm finding it an interesting and generally positive place to live, though I do wish some aspects, like traffic and public transport, were a bit more streamlined.
