Cambridge, with its population of around 11,000, is cozy and has a sort of timeless charm that you often read about in novels. The historic downtown area, laced with quaint shops and local eateries, offers a friendly atmosphere that is typically absent in larger cities. The people here are welcoming, always ready with a smile or a helping hand, which made settling in less daunting.
From a professional standpoint, the community has been receptive. There aren’t many optometrists in the area, so I’ve found my services to be quite in demand. Setting up my practice was smoother than anticipated, with local regulations being straightforward enough to navigate.
However, from a personal viewpoint, the city’s limited amenities can be a drawback.
