I recently moved to Sullivan City, Illinois. As a 66-year-old paralegal, I was searching for a peaceful place with a sense of community, and Sullivan fits that bill. The town has a quaint charm, offering a slower pace of life compared to bigger cities. It's nice to see friendly faces when I take my morning walks, and I appreciate the small local businesses.

However, Sullivan does have its drawbacks. The amenities are somewhat limited, and I sometimes miss the variety and convenience of more urban settings. For instance, there are only a few dining options and entertainment choices are relatively scarce. It can also be a bit challenging to find specialized services without traveling to nearby larger towns.

On the plus side, the cost of living here is quite reasonable, making it a practical choice for someone on a fixed income. The local library and community center provide good social and recreational outlets, and I've found the residents to be welcoming.

Overall, Sullivan City meets my needs for a calm and affordable environment but lacks the vibrancy and resources of a larger town.
